AAUW Gallery of Recognition
Since its first meeting in 1881, AAUW has been
a catalyst for change. Today, with more than 100,000 members, 1,300 branches, and 500 college and university partners, AAUW
contributes to a more promising future and provides a powerful voice for women and girls - a voice that cannot and will not
be ignored. It's no surprise that many of
the country's most successful women are affiliated with the American Association of University Women. Be they members, award
winners, or former fellows, the women whose portraits are displayed in this gallery represent some of the best the United
States has to offer. From scientists to sociologists,
congressional members to classroom leaders, this gallery is dedicated to all AAUW women who have found success and shared
it with others.
